Maaf ya lambat balas comment ni. Dah lama kut tak jengah blog sendiri..
Confucious pernah berkata “Perjalanan beribu batu bermula dengan satu langkah pertama”. So, jangan takut untuk mulakan langkah itu. Semua pengembara pun bermula macam adik juga, termasuk saya. Perasaan takut, cemas tetap ada walaupun dah berkali-kali travel. Cuma kuatkan semangat, be brave, study tentang perjalanan dan tempat yang bakal dikunjungi, baca pengalaman-pengalaman orang lain. Maybe boleh cuba untuk travel dalam Malaysia dulu untuk biasakan diri dan slowly explore negara-negara jiran seperti Indonesia kerana bahasa dan culture yang tak banyak berbeza. Gud Luck!

Alhamdulillah! I’m sorry if my reply is too late but I’ll reply anyway. I’m not from Manila so I’m not sure how to best direct you to the mosque, but last time we took a jeepney from Intramuros and it is just across the Pasig River. You’ll see the Quiapo Church and Plaza Miranda on your left. The mosque is on the other side of the road, a few blocks behind the shop lots.

Assalamu Alaikum!

Thank you for this post. I’m a recent revert to Islam. Alhamdullilah! I’m going to Quiapo tomorrow to look for the Golden Mosque and to get myself a new prayer mat and Quibla Finder. I heard from some people that Quiapo is probably the only place where I can find them here in Manila. I was hoping you could tell me the directions or perhaps if you know anyone who could join me pray at the Mosque and find the things I need.

Hi Sky, I wouldn’t call myself brave at all. I think I’m the most coward person alive hehe. I’m scared of dark and being alone, I’m scared of ghost (including those lame horor movies), I’m scared of height, I’m scared of depth, I’m scared of snakes.. the list goes on.
Btw, Quiapo is very colorful and I think those negative remarks are overly exaggerated. Not to mention I feel safe cause DH was with me. Of course I was there for a short while only and I could be wrong. To me danger could be anywhere if one’s not careful. It is just that we tried not to think too much of those negativities and be low profile, so that we won’t attract the unwanted attentions.
