Thanks Tim. Yeah I’ve heard that Taal Yatch Club is giving a good package.
I totally agree with the private car arrangement, would have done the same thing if we were travelling in a group. It’s really giving you the flexibility of managing your time and itinerary.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful blog on your Philippines’ trip. Definitely one of the better one to assist me in my coming vacation to Manila in Jan 2013. We intend to visit Taal probably hiring a car with driver one way since both of us are near to 6 score total and using Taal Yatch Club to arrange the boat trip. Keep it up young man/lady and I shall be following your blog

Well that maybe a bit of exaggerating when I said the pedicab driver wants to kill us, haha.. but I think he was really upset when we didn’t get into those boats cause he was skulking and refused to look at us when we reached Olivarez! After a while I wasn’t so much angry myself thinking that must be his source of income, and with 60pesos per litre of fuel I wonder how much he’ll profit since the journey down was quite a distance. Man got to do what he got to do, but us the cheapskate has to cut where we must cut.. so that put us on the same level actually hehe..

About the pouch seriously we didn’t haggle that much, I think we got less about 20-30% as the price offered was already good… darn! hehe anyway thanks for the tips, will keep it in mind when we find ourselves in Philippines again!

Whew! so many things happened in your trip. Good thing you and DH were safe. I can’t really control myself of despising that pedicab driver, so greedy and reckless.

Ukay-Ukays were really good if you manage to haggle it much lower like 50-70% of their original price. I envy the NorthFace pouch. hehe
