The scooter rental is quite cheap, about Rp50k per day depends on your bargaining skills. As for the halal joints, there are two within walking distance from where we stay in Lekjon. About 200 meters away roughly. But halal food in Samosir is quite expensive, being most of the folks there are Christians. Expect to spend around Rp30 – 50k for a simple meal.
